A Little About Me
In 2012, Laura found a Groupon for an aerial class and figured it might be fun to try. To put it simply, a full-blown love affair was born. Since then, Laura has also become a student in sling, lyra, flying trapeze, acro yoga, pole, static trapeze, and various other apparatuses. Laura has taught and performed on silks for multiple years, including a performance in Costa Rica.
As an instructor, Laura meets students wherever they are for their aerial journeys. In her time as an aerialist, Laura was involved in a serious car accident and has managed late-stage Lyme disease, so she is an expert in practicing the arts of patience and grace with oneself. Laura knows what it is to have fears, weaknesses, and doubts, but has experienced time and again the absolute joy on the other side.
Laura’s true specialty is celebration: whether you have never even seen silks before, whether it’s been a while since you’ve touched an apparatus, or whether you’re a serious student, Laura will help you realize what you’re capable of and will (quite literally) cheer you on every step of the way. Laura’s favorite quote is “you didn’t come this far just to get this far” – so let’s see how far we can go!
