Lauren Kehl is an aerial coach, Pilates instructor, and GYROTONIC® trainer based in Seattle, WA. Starting her aerial journey as a recreational adult at age 28, Lauren has a particular gift for working with adult beginners and students who struggle, and strives to teach in a way that is accessible and inclusive.

She attended the Intensive year at NECCA in 2011 before deciding to pursue coaching full time. Since then, she has helped to expand and develop the curriculum at Versatile Arts, her home studio, and is one half of the teacher training team there. She has led workshops at AYCOfest, the American Circus Educators conference, and NECCA’s workshop weekend.

11:00 am: Sequencing on Dance Trapeze – $55

Experience the freedom of movement with the dance trapeze bar that offers an expansive canvas for your aerial artistry. During this workshop, we’ll harness the stability and weight of the trapeze’s solid base to craft dynamic sequences, fluid transitions, and graceful rolls.

This session isn’t focused on choreography but rather on empowering students with essential sequencing concepts. You’ll gain the skills to create your unique choreography and seamless transitions for your future practice.

Join us for an exciting workshop on the dance trapeze. To participate, ensure you can confidently pull over from the ground and invert while standing on the trapeze. Let’s explore the possibilities together

Unlock the Armbreaker Skill – Your Gateway to Aerial Artistry!

Discover the versatility of the armbreaker – a skill that opens doors to countless possibilities on various apparatus. In this workshop, we’ll delve into the fundamentals of the armbreaker, its underlying principles, and its applications in mounts, dynamic moves, and striking poses.

We’ll also explore the biomechanics of the shoulder joint and essential warm-up techniques to safely achieve the required range of motion. While primarily designed for sling and dance trapeze, it can be adapted for one of these options.

To join, participants should feel comfortable pulling over from the ground and confidently inverting while on the apparatus. Don’t miss this opportunity to level up your aerial skills!
